Dayenu – Passover 2015

More than any traditional Jewish ritual, the Pesach (Passover) Seder emphasizes engaging the next generation. Children of all ages are encouraged to ask questions, suggest answers, and participate in a discussion of the Exodus story.

In our newest Pesach video we’ve fashioned ourselves as modern day “cats in the hat” rescuing, as it were, two young protagonists who are at wits end and sleep’s beginning. Via a series of variations on the song Dayenu – one of the most popular but, arguably, least musically interesting traditional Passover songs – through the lens of various musical genres, we encourage them to bring their imagination to the Seder experience and make the traditions their own.

We hope you too enjoy our Dayenu video and that you’ll grab the track on CDBaby!

Have a great Passover and a chag kasher v’sameach! And don’t forget to try this at home.

PS: For those of you who will be in South Florida over the holiday, we’ll be performing at our first Major League Baseball game. Catch us at the Miami Marlins’ Passover at the Park: http://www.passoveratthepark.com/

Passover is long over. Still I have to listen to your version of “Dayenu” over and over again, nearly every day. The reason is this: My 2 year old son LOVES this song!!
It started after his first seder. He would ask us to sing Dayenu all the time. We wanted to get a break and searched for the song online. We found your version.
By now we started to listen to your other Songs, too. Elijah might be one of your biggest fans. He can sit for half an hour and just watch you sing. After every song he claps and yells “Bravo!!”
